Richard has spent the past 50+ years helping companies become more effective in delivering quality and value to the production process, whilst focusing on customer success. Having a manufacturing engineering background, Richard mentors and coaches Leaders to recognize waste, and apply Lean Principles, Tools and Techniques. His extensive knowledge of multiple industries, enable him to quickly focus in on opportunities for improvement. As an approved Lean Bronze Review Course trainer for SME, Richard is able to coach teams to increase ‘value added’ content to a maximum.

Richard has held various positions in industry from Manufacturing Engineering Director, to Director, Lean Enterprise. During the past 15 years Richard has assisted companies in developing Lean Transformations through Executive Mentoring and has facilitated over 100 Kaizen events.

Richard is President of the Canadian Board of AME (The Association for Manufacturing Excellence), an AME Consortium Facilitator and was past Program Chair for AME’s National and Regional Lean Conferences since 2007. He is a Past Chair of the Lean Certification Oversight and Appeals Committee responsible for developing and maintaining the Bronze, Silver and Gold Lean Certification Program for SME, AME, Canadian Society for Quality and The Shingo Institute. Richard is also a Certified TWI (Training Within Industry) Job Instructions and Job Relations Trainer.
