Reasons & why you should do a business management health assessment

Business Management Health Assessment (BMHA)

“Designed for the Manufacturing Industry”

Powered by Aperitisoft™

Why perform a BMHA?

Even for world class operations, performing an assessment at predetermined intervals for operating processes and functional culture is a prudent and effective practice.  These methods are the gateway for continual improvement and an operating alignment that fosters continual improvement, optimized resourcing, a step towards a lean working environment and, access to new business & growth.

How a company routinely operates and functions is a culmination of numerous integrated layers.

These layers need to be peeled back and examined on a frequent basis to ensure that;

  • They are aligned wiht the company’s mission and product structure and,
  • Identify anomalies that has fallen outside of the organization’s plan and processes that manage & control the company.

There are many stakeholders and influencers that shape how a manufacturer operates over time.  Stakeholders such as a set of incumbent and/or new customer driven requirements, new product lines with specialized processes, human resource fluctuations, aging equipment (both in manufacturing and administration) with performance issues driving changes to product methodologies, underutilized or minimal ERP & MRP system integration architecture have a massive impact to the character of a manufacturing company.

These are only some of the aspects that shape a company’s performance.  The list goes on and our BMHA takes a deep dive for realization.

Strong leadership can solve anything, however, if the root and integrated problem is unclear, the solution is blurred at best.  Vagueness fosters a short-lived initiative and a failure to execute.

We have supported companies that have experienced two or more false starts on their own because of this.

Investment of Time & cost:

The investment (time and cost) to perform a BMHA is miniscule in comparison to the opportunity cost and cost of quality lost overlooking the operational processes within an organization.  Executed BMHAs have proven their value proposition increasing overall equipment efficiency and those of the operating management processes within organizations.  A mitigation for ‘failure to execute’.

For ISO and AS certified manufacturers, it is a mandate to manage this critical aspect of the business.  The BMHA will help you in short order to assess, determine gaps for corrective action and realignment.
